Bloganuary – What chore do you find the most challenging to do?

Chores, you say? Well. This ALL depends on how my mental health is tracking, really.

Some days, I can do it ALL and the entire house is sparkling. Floors are swept and mopped, bathrooms are spotless, beds are made, laundry is done and the kitchen looks so clean and tidy.

Other days, I just pick the one chore and do that – usually it’s making the bed. Everything else seems too hard.

The chore I struggle with – no matter what state my mental health is in…is sweeping and mopping the floors. I don’t know why, it just seems really overwhelming to have to move everything off the floors first, get furniture as much out of the way as possible…then sweep and then mop, too.

IT’S TOO MUCH!!! Why do I have to do so much just to clean our floors?

Praise God, we have wood floors throughout our little cottage apart from the bathrooms where we have tiled floors.

This reminds me, the floors haven’t been mopped in YEARS. We just sweep and that seems to be enough. I need to get the broom and the mop out this week.

GRR.

  2. I used a very easy lazy mopping method . The magiclean mop where i can just throw away the wet sheet that collects the dust. But even then itโ€™s quite an effort to do it. I applaud your efforts Janet.

    1. at least you DO IT, Shanti. I just sweep the floors now and think “that will do”. I definitely need to mop. I need to buy a magiclean mop!

      1. Kinda makes me feel better after as I like the fresh mint scent and I only spend about 10 minutes to be honest.
