This post is written for a special fellow blogger “SomeKindaOdd” who was interested in what the food is like here.
In short, sir…it’s a mirage. It looks so good but once it’s on your plate, it looks weary and as pleased to be in hospital as the patient’s are. Lol.
Here’s some pics I took for you at breakfast this morning. I’ll try to take some at lunch and dinner too if you like?

Everything is served “buffet style” but the hot foods and delicious options behind the glass case have to asked for. Loudly and in repeatedly louder increments until either the patient or slightly deaf food server gives up or wins and gets what they asked for.
I feel an awkwardness around food being served to me so instead of asking “Hey, can you please stir the bolognese sauce so it’s heated evenly before you serve it?” I timidly ask “1 spaghetti please” and frown as I eat lukewarm sauce over cold, hard pasta.
Word on the street is always go for the soup because unlike all the other food, it is on burners and continuously stirred so it gets served piping hot every night for dinner.
I’ll try it tonight and give you my take on it.
Wish me luck.
