Guys, I’m tired.
Tired right now to my very bones.
This last 2 years have just BATTERED me and this last ‘war’ with old Ethel has torn me apart. She was the straw that broke this camel’s back.
I’m done.
I can’t go on.
I can’t take another step forward.
I don’t want to start a new job.
I don’t want to be cheerful and bubbly.
I don’t want to be dependable, Mom.
I don’t want to be awesome
I just want to be DONE.
You must stop listening to the lies of the enemy. He wants you defeated, but you can live in the victory Jesus offers. I’ve learned to pray and ask God to make me aware of the enemy’s lies. I combat those lies by memorizing scripture. I’ve memorized Psalm 121 and Psalm 23 that I quote to myself when I’m bombarded with lies. Please go to your podcast app and add “sermons from Tony Evans”. Or go to tonyevans.org. He’s had a sermon series on spiritual warfare. It started April 5th. The first sermon is called the Nature of the Battle. All these messages are powerful to those of us who struggle with anxiety and depression. You’re in my prayers.
I know it sucks to hear and is easier said than done, but you can do this! Another cliche (although I mean it very seriously): Stay strong! You have to keep your head up. I know, I know…I hate hearing all of these things when I get to a dark “level”, too. They rarely work, but I’m only trying to be genuine. You got this and if ever you think you don’t, you know you have people to turn to here.
